Who is Laevatain in Arknights Endfield?

Laevatain is a Rhodes Island operator who joined Endfield Industries at the Endministrator's direct recommendation. After getting her personal agreement, approval from the HR Division, and authentication from Rhodes Island, she became an operator under the direct command of the Endministrator. This assignment happened through the framework agreement between Rhodes Island and Endfield Industries.
Before joining Endfield Industries, Laevatain roamed the world alone pursuing a goal she could call her own. With Warfarin's authorization, she once spent years in the north carrying out a solo field mission thanks to her strong skills in independent operations. Because of her journey and her amazing skill in solo combat, people often mistake her for someone you can't talk to. But that's actually not true at all.
Laevatain is an excellent listener and coordinator who performed exceptionally well in Endfield's tests on teamwork adaptability and communication skills. Most Endfielders who have worked with her give her high praise. They say she might seem like a fiery girl at first, but she's really not fiery at all. Her honest and straightforward nature sometimes comes across too strongly, which creates misunderstandings.
She sometimes talks about things nobody really understands, like the threat of demons. Most people assume she's talking about the Aggeloi, while others just have no idea what she means. At times, she speaks in ways that confuse others, often bringing up the subject of memory as if she's trying to separate herself from who she is.
Laevatain often wields flames in combat, yet she has a surprising fondness for ice cream and desserts. She spends a lot of time in freezing environments and loves eating ice cream so much that she jokes about eating boxes of it before they can reach Warfarin. To her, this contradiction probably feels perfectly natural.

Laevatain Best Weapons in Arknights Endfield
Forgeborn Scathe is Laevatain's signature weapon and absolutely dominates for her. It loads up Intellect, attack, and Heat damage on the passives - all stats she loves. The weapon effect is where it really shines though, giving a basic attack damage boost for 20 seconds after ulting. Since Laevatain's entire damage strategy revolves around enhanced basic attacks during Ultimate, this weapon is perfectly designed for her kit. The downside? It's pretty mediocre on other Heat characters, making it a dedicated Laevatain weapon rather than a flexible option.
Umbral Torch works as a strong alternative that's easier to obtain. For each enemy suffering Combustion/Corrosion, you gain Heat and Nature damage bonuses. Laevatain forces Combustion with her empowered Battle Skill, so activating this weapon is straightforward. While it doesn't match Forgeborn Scathe's raw power, it's significantly more accessible and still performs well.

Laevatain Best Team Comps in Arknights Endfield
Laevatain needs Heat teams built specifically around feeding her Heat Infliction stacks. Her entire damage output depends on absorbing those stacks to build Melting Flame charges, which unlock her empowered Battle Skill. Without consistent Heat application from teammates, she can't function at full power.
The core enabler is Wulfgard - he generates more Heat Infliction than anyone else in the game by a huge margin. Pairing them is basically mandatory for optimal performance. Akekuri fills the battery role perfectly, providing SP while also contributing Heat stacks.
For the amplifier slot, you've got two main choices. Ardelia applies Corrosion easily, constantly triggering Laevatain's Combo Skill. Antal offers slightly stronger damage amplification without healing, plus his skills can stack additional Heat Infliction on already-affected enemies, pushing Laevatain's damage even higher. He's more single-target focused though.

How to Play Laevatain in Arknights Endfield
Laevatain revolves entirely around absorbing Heat Infliction to build Melting Flame stacks, then spending those stacks for massive damage. Understanding this loop is critical to playing her effectively.
When the controlled operator lands a Final Strike (the last hit of basic attack chains), Laevatain automatically absorbs all Heat Infliction from enemies hit (Talent 1). Each stack absorbed gives her one Melting Flame charge, capping at four. At maximum stacks, she ignores 20 points of enemy Heat resistance for 20 seconds - this is huge because it works even against enemies with low resistance.
Your Battle Skill throws a fire projectile for decent damage and grants one Melting Flame stack. Once you hit four stacks, the empowered version activates - same projectile but followed by a devastating slash that deals massive damage, applies Combustion in a huge area, and generates ultimate energy. Using empowered Battle Skill is your main method of charging ultimate and dealing big burst damage.
The Ultimate costs a whopping 300 energy - by far the most expensive in the game. When activated, Laevatain summons her spiritual sword and switches to enhanced basic attacks for 15 seconds. These enhanced attacks have a four-hit sequence where the third hit applies Heat Infliction and the fourth counts as a Final Strike, absorbing stacks. During ultimate, you want to actively generate and absorb Heat to reach four Melting Flame stacks again, then use empowered Battle Skill while still in ultimate mode. This empowered version during ult hits twice, then finishes with an absolutely monstrous third hit.
Basic rotation without ultimate: Generate Melting Flame stacks by absorbing Heat with Final Strikes, using base Battle Skill, or triggering your Combo (which activates when enemies get Combustion or Corrosion). Once at four stacks, immediately use empowered Battle Skill. This deals huge damage, applies Combustion (potentially triggering Combo again for another stack), and generates massive ultimate energy.
Rotation with ultimate: Once ultimate is charged, activate it and continue attacking. Use teammates to keep applying Heat, remembering that your third enhanced basic attack also applies Heat. Keep building to four stacks, then unleash empowered Battle Skill during ultimate for maximum damage. After ultimate ends, repeat the cycle - build stacks, use empowered Battle Skill, charge ultimate again.
