Who is Lifeng in Arknights Endfield?

Lifeng was born in Wuling City and is currently an intern at the Specialist Tech Division of Endfield Industries. He's also a member of the Wuling City Guards. When he was young, Lifeng had a happy family just like other kids in Wuling. But a terrible accident changed everything. The incident crushed his arm and took the lives of his parents, forcing him to grow up quickly when he was less than 10 years old.
After the accident, Lifeng accepted a prosthetic arm and worked hard through every step of his recovery. He pushed through the pain and became a capable and dependable young man. Even though he's only 16 years old, he handles his responsibilities with impressive thoughtfulness and care. He serves as a Wuling City Guards reservist to help people and protects his little sister as a caring brother.
Don't think of Lifeng as just a naive teenager though. He carries a lot of deep thoughts and emotions inside that he keeps to himself. Only when he visits his late parents' graves does he show a glimpse of what he's really feeling. His mind and personality make him popular with both his peers and elders back in Wuling.
Da Pan has guided Lifeng for years and taught him spear fighting skills that help him pursue justice. Despite his cheerful attitude and the shadow of his past, Lifeng continues to grow with sincerity and passion. He wants to do more and get better at everything, yearning for the day when he can take on greater responsibilities and protect the home that waits for him.

Lifeng Best Weapons in Arknights Endfield
Mountain Bearer is Lifeng's signature weapon and his best option. The passive combination includes Physical damage and Agility, plus a conditional damage bonus against Vulnerable enemies that won't always be active.
Valiant brings more optimal passives - Physical damage, Agility, and straight attack% (which Lifeng lacks elsewhere in his build).
Pathfinder's Beacon serves as your 4-star option.

Lifeng Best Team Comps in Arknights Endfield
Lifeng operates as a support damage dealer who generates Vulnerable stacks and Physical Susceptibility for teammates. His defining limitation - he can't consume Vulnerable stacks himself. This means Lifeng always needs pairing with characters who CAN consume via Crush or Breach.
The entire team strategy revolves around Lifeng opening fights with Battle Skill to apply both Physical Susceptibility and the first Vulnerable stack simultaneously. This dual application is huge - Physical Susceptibility boosts all Physical damage by a significant amount while Vulnerable stacks feed into Crush/Breach finishers. Lifeng then continues generating Vulnerable through his Ultimate, which applies Knock Down twice (two stacks at once) while dealing substantial damage.
His Combo Skill grants Link to the team - a buff that significantly boosts the next Battle Skill or Ultimate used. Lifeng can either consume this Link himself with his Ultimate for nearly double damage, or save it for a teammate's major ability. The combo triggers when landing Final Strikes on enemies with Physical Susceptibility or Breach, which Lifeng creates naturally through his rotation.

How to Play Lifeng
Lifeng's playstyle centers on his Battle Skill creating dual buffs/debuffs that set up devastating team combos. Understanding the conditions and timing is critical.
Battle Skill costs 100 SP and swings the polearm twice before slamming the ground, hitting all enemies in the area with Physical damage and applying Knock Down. Here's the key mechanic - if the enemy hit by the final slam has NO Vulnerable stacks, instead of adding a Vulnerable stack, the Battle Skill applies Physical Susceptibility for 10 seconds. This conditional behavior means Lifeng should almost always use Battle Skill as your opening attack in rotations. Opening with it grants both Physical Susceptibility (boosting all Physical damage) plus one Vulnerable stack from the Knock Down.
His talent Subduer of Evil adds another damage multiplier whenever Knock Down successfully triggers - meaning when used against already Vulnerable enemies. At max level, this talent deals 100% attack as additional Physical damage. Important detail - this only activates when Knock Down fully works and you see the text/damage number. Using Battle Skill against non-Vulnerable enemies doesn't trigger it since Knock Down converts into Physical Susceptibility instead.
The combo creates a self-activating loop. His Combo Skill triggers when the controlled operator performs a Final Strike on enemies with Physical Susceptibility or Breach. Since Lifeng's Battle Skill creates Physical Susceptibility, he can activate his own combo just by landing Final Strikes afterward. The Combo Skill deals Physical damage and grants Link to the team - a substantial damage boost for the next Battle Skill or Ultimate used.
His other talent Illumination allows Lifeng to gain attribute attack from Intellect and Will at 0.15% per point, essentially giving him two additional secondary stats. This makes him more flexible with gear and benefits heavily from all-attribute buffs like those on his signature weapon.
Ultimate costs 90 energy and slams down dealing Physical damage plus Knock Down to enemies in a large area, then pulls them toward the center. After a delay, enemies still in the area eat another massive hit of Physical damage plus another Knock Down. If Link is active when you cast Ultimate, it deals an additional massive third hit of Physical damage. This means the Link-empowered Ultimate applies two Knock Down triggers (two Vulnerable stacks) while dealing nearly double damage and activating Subduer of Evil twice.
