Tangtang Best Weapons in Arknights Endfield

Brigand's Calling
Home Longing
Opus: The Living

Brigand's Calling is obviously her best choice of weapon, as it is her signature Handcannon. It gives a significant boost to both her Attack and Cryo Damage across the board, making every part of her kit hit harder. On top of the raw stats, it also unlocks an extra debuff, enemies affected by her Waterspouts will take increased Arts DMG.

Home Longing is a great option that works naturally with how Tangtang plays. Each time she uses her Combo Skill, her Battle Skill gets a stackable buff that goes up to two times. Since her standard rotation already has her cycling through both skills repeatedly, this bonus practically applies itself with no extra effort required.

Opus: The Living is a solid pick if her signature weapons aren't available. It bumps up her Arts Damage and Critical Rate, giving her a reliable damage increase. As a bonus, triggering a Solidification Arts Reaction with it grants her extra Attack.

How to Play Tangtang

Tangtang is a Cryo Caster who excels at dealing area damage and weakening enemies through Arts Susceptibility. Here's how to get the most out of her kit.

She's an AoE damage dealer who creates water-based constructs, Whirlpools and Waterspouts, to deal Cryo damage, apply Cryo inflictions, and make enemies take more damage from Arts. Her Ultimate also freezes all enemy actions in place, making her a strong setup tool for the whole team.

Combo Skill → Battle Skill → Ultimate

This is the loop you want to follow to maximize her output.

Step 1: Set Up Whirlpools First

Trigger her Combo Skill by either applying Cryo Infliction or landing an Arts Burst hit on an enemy. This drops a Whirlpool on the field, which her Battle Skill needs to work properly.

Skipping this step in single-target situations means her Battle Skill can only produce one Waterspout with no Arts Susceptibility applied, a big loss.

Step 2: Convert Whirlpools Into Waterspouts

Once a Whirlpool is active, use her Battle Skill to transform it into a Waterspout. The key here is that Arts Susceptibility only activates when two or more Waterspouts are created at once.

Against multiple enemies, you can skip Step 1 entirely, hitting two or more enemies with the Battle Skill automatically spawns enough Waterspouts to trigger the debuff.

Step 3: Use Her Ultimate as a Team Setup Tool

Her Ultimate hits a wide area and pauses all enemies within range, then lands a second hit when the freeze ends. This is her biggest team utility moment, use it to create a free DPS window for teammates, especially slower-casting characters like Yvonne or Last Rite.

You can also cut the Ultimate short with a Dive Attack (via her Riot Bringer Talent), which instantly deals damage, spawns a Waterspout, and converts any nearby Whirlpools, landing her debuff faster and pushing out more damage right away.

All in all, Tangtang is a great SP Battery and debuffer for a Cryo team.
